Resident Life
Assuring that each resident has a high-quality and balanced life is extremely important to us. The University of Michigan here in the wonderful city of Ann Arbor, offers the residents a rich intellectual, diverse, and exciting opportunity for personal and professional growth.
A Day in the Life
Our Activities
The Med-Peds social committee typically hosts one-two events every month. We usually find fun local, seasonal activities in Ann Arbor and the surrounding area. Below is a list of recent and upcoming events, as an example of what we do throughout the year. In addition, Med-Peds residents are always invited and welcome to join the many Medicine and Pediatrics social activities scheduled by the categorical programs. Here is a snapshot of our activities:
Pediatrics welcoming picnic.
Canoeing the Huron river.
Switch party: Seniors impart their wisdom to the interns about the ‘other side’.
Apple picking at a local orchard.
Detroit Turkey Trot (5K) on Thanksgiving Day.
Adopt a Family - we support a local family with gifts during the holiday season.
